Locspec Building Services Pty Ltd (ABN 90 621 252 328) is a custom home building company based in Jamberoo, NSW. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This policy explains what we collect, why, how we look after it, and how you can access or correct it. It applies to our website www.locspec.com.au, our Build Readiness Check and other online forms, our emails, and your dealings with us as an enquirer or client.
We only collect what we need to understand your project and help you with it. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:
We don’t ask for sensitive information (such as health information). You can deal with us without giving your name, but we won’t be able to prepare a Before You Build Briefing or contact you about your project.
We collect most information directly from you: when you fill in the Build Readiness Check or another form, email or call us, book a call, or become a client. We may also receive details from ad platforms such as Facebook and Instagram when you respond to one of our ads.

If you complete the Build Readiness Check, we’ll send you your result and a short series of emails with guides and practical advice about planning a build. We may also send you our monthly newsletter, the Monthly Toolbox Talk.
We only send marketing emails with your consent, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every email shows that it is from Locspec and includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time using that link, or by emailing admin@locspec.com.au. We’ll stop sending marketing emails as soon as practical, and within 5 working days. We may still contact you about an enquiry or service you have with us.

Overseas storage: some of our providers, including HighLevel and Meta, store data on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.
Security: we store your information in password-protected systems that only our team can access, and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove identifying details, unless we must keep it by law.
Access and correction: you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or update it. We’ll respond within 30 days. There’s no charge for asking.
Deletion: you can ask us to delete your details. We’ll do so unless we need to keep them by law or to finish work for you.
Complaints: if you think we’ve mishandled your information, please contact us first and we’ll aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
